During my last visit to UK, I remember gaping in awe at the brands of make-ups that are available in Boots and Superdrug. I think I spent hours at the make-up aisle because at that time, you can't find brands like Urban Decay, MaxFactor, 2True and of course, my favourite Rimmel London here in Malaysia.

Like any other girl, of course I stocked up. In my case I spent fair amount of quids on Rimmels' mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss and lipsticks hoping that it'll be enough for the next 12 months. But alas, everything runs out eventually and I have to resort to another brand which cost me a bomb every other month like the Diorshow mascara I've been using for the past two years.

A few days ago, I was asked to do a make-up review for..... RIMMEL LONDON!!!! Yes, it is now available in Malaysia. Like, seriously!

I was so happy when I received my sample pack the other day and I just couldn't wait to go home to try out everything. Tra la la....

My pack contains the following Rimmel London products;
1) Cool Matte Mousse Foundation
2) Two Magnif'Eyes Mascaras: Waterproof and Non-Waterproof
3) Gloss Maxx Lipstick no. 005 (Nude)
4) Lasting Finish Lipstick in Airy Fairy (070)
5) Two Vinyl Gloss Stars: Starlet and Read My Lips

To be honest, I stopped using foundation because the last time I used it in 2005, I had dry spots and I personally think it's a hassle. But now that I am already working and I have to deal with (a lot of superficial) people, I need to look presentable. I mean, if you're familiar with my line of work, you know I cannot look half-assed... at all. I can't be selling RMXXX, XXX pieces of artwork to some multi-billionaire looking like say... Amy Winehouse, no? Okay so, back to the foundation... Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse Foundation (RM41.90), I find it absolutely fabulous. It works great for me and the soft texture blends in beautifully. It also moisturizes the skin and isn't heavy at all.

I really cannot live without mascara. Although I have big eyes, I wasn't blessed with perfect long lashes. The Rimmel Magnif'eyes Mascara (RM32.90) really works! After just a few strokes, my short and straight eyelashes curls and lenghtens. You HAVE to try it... it's amazing!

The Rimmel Lasting Finish (RM19.90) lipstick stays for hours and the Rimmel Gloss Maxx (RM21.90) lipstick, as the name suggests, is a gloss-lipstick. Shiny, semi-transparent and moisturizing. The trick with the Rimmel Gloss Maxx is that, apply it twice for maximum effect. The first swipe you'll find it quite light, swipe it the second time, you'll get darker effect of the shade which is very, very nice.

Other than mascara, I cannot live without lipgloss. I have really dry lips so I need lipgloss to cover-up the hideousness of my lips. I find the Rimmel Vinyl Gloss Stars (RM18.90) great. Not sticky at all (like those awful Stila Lip Glaze).

It shines awesomely and it smells heavenly. Kiss me why don't you Mr. A!!! Tee hee...
